Meetings Management Firms Forum: Conflicts, Challenges, Interactions, Communications and Sharing

 

The Meetings Management Firms Forum was held at CNCC, Nov. 30th, 2012, which brought together many meetings management companies to offer advice or strategies for the future development of China¡¯s conference market and conference enterprises.

This forum was hosted by Zhang Xinhong, Vice President of AcrossChina Communication, and VIPs like Hersey Cao, President and CEO of AcrossChina Communication, Mei Xiaodan, President of BIT Congress, Inc., Li Qingxing, General Manager of China Decision Makers Consultancy (CDMC), Bai Bo, General Manager of Yaxing International Conference and Exhibition Group and alike were present. Besides, guests from several conference companies like GZL International Travel Service Ltd., Trends, Diaoyutai Conference and Exhibition Co., Ltd., HRH Communications, and China Comfort Travel Group (CCT) MICE Center took part in the dialogue program, offering an interesting and impressive lesson to all participants.


During the forum, Hersey Cao noted by saying, ¡°We should first and foremost spare no pains to articulating our own business, or rather, specialty, and based on which we are able to construct internal systems, plans for marketing, establishment of brand, and so on.¡± By saying this, she was trying to suggest the importance of the pinpointing of our specialty, the very first step in any business pursuit.


Besides, Mei Xiaodan, President of BIT Congress, Inc. delivered a speech. ¡°As an entrepreneur, he not only passes wisdom and thoughts, but more importantly the value of doing the business itself,¡± said he. ¡°It is easy to open a shop but hard to keep it always open. However, to become successful in a certain industry is all about keeping old customers while developing new ones. As for conference management firms, they ought to take full advantage of core competitiveness to grab the lion¡¯s share of the meetings market.¡±


Li Qingxing, General Manager of China Decision Makers Consultancy (CDMC), based his speech on in-person experiences, expounding the planning of meetings in several different categories. Meanwhile, Bai Bo, General Manager of Yaxing International Conference and Exhibition Group, addressed attendees with a speech named Strategies for Small- and Medium-sized Company¡¯s Management and Operation.
